Overprotected es una canción de la cantante estadounidense Britney Spears. Fue lanzado el 12 de noviembre de 2001 a través de Jive Records como el segundo sencillo de su tercer álbum de estudio, Britney.
La canción fue escrita y producida por Max Martin y Rami Yacoub. Líricamente, la canción dance-pop trata sobre una chica que está cansada de ser sobreprotegida y solo quiere ser ella misma.
Recibió críticas mixtas de los críticos contemporáneos, ya que algunos críticos notaron que la canción era una forma de que Spears "se liberara", a pesar de provenir de un cantante conocido en todo el mundo desde la infancia. Spears ha interpretado "Overprotected" en su gira Dream Within a Dream Tour y The Onyx Hotel Tour. En la gira Dream Within a Dream, lo hizo mientras vestía un catsuit marrón. Su versión original se realizó en el partido de ida, mientras que su remix de Darkchild se realizó en el partido de vuelta. En el Onyx Hotel Tour, interpretó el remix de Darkchild de la canción justo después del número de apertura del programa, "Toxic", vestida con un catsuit negro.
